Prefabrik Yapı A.Ş. Provides Liveable Spaces for Future Generations With Its Zero-Carbon-Emission Mars Container…
Prefabrik Yapı A.Ş., a leading company in the light gauge steel structure sector, is ushering in a new era in construction with its zero-carbon-emission Mars container.
The zero-carbon-emission Mars containers, part of Prefabrik Yapı A.Ş.’s range of ecological and sustainable buildings, stand out for their modular design. Attractive, safe, economical and portable, these zero-carbon-emission Mars containers provide liveable spaces for future generations.
All of the Mars container’s energy needs are met by photovoltaic panels installed on its roof at an angle of 28°, without any need for an external energy source. Buildings manufactured using light gauge steel technology require less energy for heating and cooling.
The container requires a total of 2,456.6 kWh of energy annually: 546.9 kWh for cooling, 860 kWh for heating, 453.8 kWh for lighting and 595.9 kWh for equipment. Its photovoltaic panels generate 2,900 kWh of energy per year, supplying more energy than it consumes. The Mars containers have an EP value of 19.37, within the Class A range of 0–39. With renewable energy use at 118%, the Mars containers produce zero carbon emissions.
Environmentally friendly from raw materials through to production and use, the Mars containers are available as homes and offices. Light gauge steel manufacturing technology creates buildings with higher insulation performance and lower energy requirements than conventional construction.
