Hekim Holding, a pioneering organisation responsible for a number of firsts in the Turkish construction sector, received three awards in one week.
Hekim Holding received two awards at the 39th Building Fair, held from 10 to 14 May, where its four companies and two businesses exhibited at five stands covering a total of 505 square metres. It received a further award from İDDMİB (Istanbul Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals Exporters’ Association).
Prefabrik Yapı A.Ş., a Hekim Holding company, received third prize in the “Articles of Metal” category among İDDMİB’s 6,000 members, based on export figures for 2015. Mustafa Tolunay, Deputy General Manager of Prefabrik Yapı A.Ş., said: “Awards are the best source of motivation for achieving more ambitious goals. We will continue to multiply our export figures and targets each year.”
The Hekim Profil – Steelin stands, representing brands of Hekim Holding company Prefabrik Yapı A.Ş., and the Hekim Yapı A.Ş. stands shared second prize in the Golden Magnet “Stand Design Awards”, an established tradition at YAPI FUARI – TURKEYBUILD.
The design award jury, which places great importance on the relationship between products and stand design, selected the Hekim Holding stands. The use of Hekim Yapı A.Ş.’s HekimBoard natural cement board products made from fibre cement throughout the stand designs, together with the display of steel profiles before and after cladding on the Hekim Profil-Steelin stand, earned both companies second prize. The design also attracted considerable interest by conveying the sustainable, ecological and renewable qualities of steel profiles and incorporating a tree made from profiles as an integral part of the design.
Hekim Yapı A.Ş.’s stand was designed by Sıla Uzundurukan, an architect at Su Mimarlık, while the Hekim Profil-Steelin stand was designed by Yeliz Uzunyurt, one of Prefabrik Yapı A.Ş.’s in-house architects. Exhibiting for the first time on a separate stand as brands of Prefabrik Yapı A.Ş., Hekim Profil-Steelin provided a particular source of pride for Hekim Holding. Hekim Holding employees, who place great importance on stand design at every fair they attend, took well-deserved pride in their awards.
